Absolutely brilliant comment on the Guardian site:

The war in Afghanistan is one bunch of religious nutters (the Taliban) fighting another bunch of religious nutters (the Bible Belters). I don't know why we (as in the British) don't leave them to it.

I couldn't help it; it made me laugh.
