Five charged over plan to attack army base

Australian police have charged five men with planning to attack an army base and shoot soldiers, and the government is considering whether to ban a Somali militant group linked to the plot. During a court hearing in Melbourne Wednesday, one of those charged shouted at the magistrate. "You call me a terrorist? I have never killed a person in my life," said Wissam Mahmoud Fattal, 33. "Your army kills innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan and Israel takes Palestinian land by force."
